Neuropsychological Evaluation

Our neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive battery of tests designed to assess an individual's current cognitive functioning as well as the person's mental and emotional functioning.  This battery is the General Diagnostic Battery plus the neuropsychological component.  It takes generally six to eight hours to administer.

General Diagnostic Battery

This assessment battery includes intellectual, emotional, personal interview, and psychomotor evaluation components to give the client an overall picture of their current functioning levels.  Administration time is approximately 3 hours.

Mental Status Examination

Comprehensive personal interview to determine current mental status functioning. This assessment can be administered in about an hour.

Vocational Evaluation

This evaluation is designed for the non brain-injured client who needs comprehensive information about themselves to help them make an appropriate vocational decision.  This assessment evaluates a person's interest, aptitude, and physical performance areas.  The vocational evaluation makes critical evaluations of a person's competitive employment levels and makes recommendations based on a person's previous work experience, education levels, as well as the interest, aptitude, and performance test results.  The test results are often used by rehabilitation professionals to counsel with their clients regarding appropriate employment placement.

Specialized Brain Injury Vocational Evaluation

Our brain injury vocational evaluation includes everything on the Vocational Evaluation plus an extra day with our cognitive rehabilitation staff.  This allows our practice to make quality recommendations to the vocational evaluator about the cognitive rehabilitation needs of the client.  Our trained staff will provide additional testing, interviewing, and behavioral observation so that the client and referring rehabilitation professional will have the best information available to make future employment and rehabilitation choices.
